STUDENT FEES

A student who is a permanent resident in St. Lucia or a CARICOM country, with proof of St. Lucian nationality or CARICOM residency will be entitled to local tuition fees. All other Students fall within the International School Fees category.

OVERVIEW OF ISSL FEE STRUCTURE

 

There are five fees applicable for students enrolling at ISSL:

  1. Application Fee

  2. Registration Fee

  3. Facility Fees/Insurance

  4. Tuition Fees

  5. New Brunswick Registration & Course Fees (only applicable to students in Grades 10, 11 & 12)

DETAILS OF FEE STRUCTURE

 

1. Application Fee

 

Local, CARICOM & International applicants - XCD 270 or USD 100

  • Payable per student upon submitting application and is non-refundable

  • Covers the processing of application for admission of new student or of returning student after an absence from ISSL of one year or longer

  • ISSL registers students all year round pending space availability and acceptance. To better guarantee acceptance into ISSL for the following school year we recommend applicants register before 15th March

 

2. Registration Fee

 

CARICOM Students – XCD 2,025

International Students – USD 1,750

  • This fee is a non-refundable, one time per student fee payable upon admission to ISSL

  • It is a general investment made by all foreign students to ISSL, non-dependent of period of enrollment

  • An offer of admission must be taken up within 21 days by full payment of the registration fee. This amount is non-refundable. If the student is not starting classes immediately, the payment must be made in order to guarantee the student’s place

  • In addition to payment of the Registration Fee, admission is not complete or guaranteed until all document requirements are completed. Students who are accepted for admission are entered into the school immediately, if a place is available

 

3. Facility Fee/Insurance

 

Local, CARICOM & International applicants - XCD 690 Grade K - 11, XCD 1,365 Grade 12 

  • This fee is non-refundable and is paid annually by all students entering ISSL

 

4. Tuition Fee

 

Local and CARICOM Students - Kindergarten to Grade 6 - XCD 9,000 - Grade 7 to Grade 12 - XCD 16,000

(for Grades 10, 11 and 12 please also refer to the New Brunswick Registration and Course Fees)

 

International Students - Kindergarten to Grade 6 - XCD 16,000 or USD 5,930

- Grades 7 to Grade 12 – XCD 24,300 or USD 9,000 

(for Grades 10, 11 and 12 please also refer to the New Brunswick Registration and Course Fees)

 

5. New Brunswick Fees

 

This is applicable to Grade 10, 11 and 12 students as ISSL follows the New Brunswick Canadian High School Diploma program in these grades.

 

6. New Brunswick Registration Fee

 

Local, CARICOM & International Students – XCD 540/USD 200

  • A one-time non-refundable fee due upon entry to Grade 10, 11 or Grade 12

  • These fees are non-refundable

 

7. New Brunswick Online Course Fee

 

Local, CARICOM & International Students – 

Grade 10 - XCD 265.00/USD 98.00 per course - Students are required to take seven (7) courses over the two semesters

Grades 11 and 12 - XCD 1890/USD 700 per semester for 5 courses -  Students are required to take ten (10) New Brunswick courses over the two semesters. 
 

  • These are payable on or before the 1st August for the first semester and on or before the 3rd of January for the second Semester

  • These fees are non-refundable 

 

8. Graduation Administration Fee

Local, CARICOM & International Students – XCD 400

TUITION FEE PAYMENT OPTIONS

 

Option 1: Early Bird Special - Payment of a lump sum tuition fee per student paid in full, before April 15th for the upcoming school year. A discount of 10% will be applied. The Early Bird Special does not apply to Kindergarten to Grade 6 Students.

 

Option 2: Lump Sum Special - Payment of a lump sum tuition fee per student paid in full, before May 15th, for the upcoming school year. A discount of 3% will be applied.

 

Option 3: Lump Sum Payment - Payment of a lump sum tuition fee per student paid in full before August 1st, for the upcoming school year. No discount applies by this date.

 

Option 4: Semester Payments - Payment of two (2) equal installments per student paid in full due before the following dates:

1st Semester - August 1st  before the start of the current school year

2nd Semester - January 3rd of the current school year

 

Option 5: Monthly Payments - Payment of ten (10) equal monthly installments payable before the 15th of the month from August through to May for the school year.  A 3% fee applies to this option.

TUITION DISCOUNT FOR SIBLINGS

 

Full tuition for the first child is based upon the child in the highest-grade level.

 

A 10% reduction is provided for the second child.

A 15% reduction is provided for the third child.

A 20% reduction is provided for the fourth child.

LATE ENTRY TUITION FEES

 

Students entering ISSL after the school year has started are invoiced for tuition as follows:

 

Entrance on or before the 15th of November - 100 %

Entrance after the 15th of November to the 31st January - 80 %

Entrance after 31st January to the 15th April - 60 %

Entrance after 15th April to the end of the semester - 40 %

METHOD OF PAYMENT

 

We request all payments to be made by Bank Draft, Personal Cheque, or Wire Transfer. Wire Transfer Instructions are obtained from the Front Desk.

 

ISSL has a NO CASH POLICY on the premises (CASH PAYMENTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED). All cash payments must be made directly into the school’s account at BANK OF ST. LUCIA.  Please ensure that the deposit slip is completed in TRIPLICATE and that the student(s) name(s) is included on the slip at the top as a reference, so as to allow us to identify your funds. Please have the bank stamp all three slips; one will be retained by the bank, one is for delivery or forwarding to the school (reception@intschoolstlucia.org) in order to have your account updated and the final copy remains with you for your record.

INCIDENTAL FEES

 

Payment for additional tuition, uniforms, clubs, cafeteria, and other incidental charges are due on receipt of invoice.

LATE PAYMENT OF FEES

 

Fees are to be paid by their due dates and before entry into the school. Your child will not be allowed to attend classes until payment has been made or a signed arrangement for semester or monthly installments is completed.

 

Families of students:

  • With outstanding accounts exceeding 60 days will be informed by written communication that if payment is not received within 7 days that the student will not be permitted to attend class. It will be up to the discretion of the school’s administration as to whether the student will be readmitted to the school following the receipt of the overdue payment.

  • With outstanding accounts exceeding 120 days may be referred before school’s legal counsel to pursue collection. All costs related to this (including all legal fees and disbursements whether or not a legal proceeding is commenced) will become the responsibility of the family.

  • Students with outstanding accounts at the end of the school year will not be allowed to enroll for the subsequent school year at ISSL (or the subsequent semester if applicable). If a student’s account is 60 days or more in arrears, no transcripts, transfers, report cards or other records will be released until payment is made in full.

REFUND OF FEES

 

Refunds will not be given in the event the school is closed due to catastrophic events and/or any circumstances resulting in interruption of business. Should such an event occur, the school reserves the right to retain 100% of tuition invoiced and/or paid as of the date of such event.

Refunds for Tuition Fees for students who leave early is based on the following and must be applied for in writing within 30 days of the written notice to withdraw -

 

  • Departure on or before the 15th November - 25%

  • Departure on or before the 31st January - 15%
