Requirements for Canadian New Brunswick Graduation Diploma
A New Brunswick High School Diploma is earned by passing the compulsory literacy test (English Language Proficiency Assessment), and successfully completing 25 courses in grade 10, 11 and 12. These courses are a mix of required courses and electives. Each student will have one on one support from the Principal to ensure they are on track for graduation.
Students coming to ISSL from local schools are required to have at least 7 CSEC grades and must complete two full years (both grade 11 and grade 12) at ISSL to earn enough credits to graduate.
The graduation diploma from ISSL requires an additional 40 (minimum) hours of Community Service work in the community. Volunteer hours will be posted within the school (bulletin section with student information).
Students who have successfully completed all New Brunswick High School and International School St. Lucia requirements will be invited to attend the end of June graduation ceremony. Official Diplomas from the New Brunswick Department of Education are sent to ISSL during the summer months and are available in the summer. A virtual copy can be sent in July to post secondary schools to confirm enrollment
